What changes size
Genetics matter most, so parent size is the best predictor. Nutrition, exercise and spay or neuter timing also play a role. Keep puppies lean to protect joints.
Is your Boxer the right weight?
You should see a waist from above and feel the ribs with light pressure. If not, change portions with your vet. The feeding guide explains how to adjust.
Growth stages
Rapid growth happens in the first six months. Between six and twelve months the body gets taller and lankier. Between one and three years the chest broadens and muscles fill in.
Planning for a large dog
A Boxer needs a big crate, a sturdy leash and a car with space. Your costs for food and gear rise too, as covered in the Boxer puppy price guide.
