Flashy Boxer Puppies

A flashy Boxer is a fawn or brindle dog with bold white markings, usually on the chest, paws, belly and face. It is the look many people picture when they imagine a Boxer in white socks.

What flash means

Flash is a breeder term for white markings on a colored Boxer. A small white chest patch is common, and many flashy dogs add white toes, a white blaze between the eyes and a white collar. A dog with markings across more than a third of the body starts to look like a white Boxer instead.

Flashy fawn and flashy brindle

Flash can sit on either base. A flashy fawn has a tan body with white trim. A flashy brindle has striped patches broken up by white. Start with the base coat on the fawn page if you are unsure what you like.

Is flash a health issue?

Normal flash is not a health concern. It simply changes where the pigment sits. The white patches can burn in strong sun, so use shade like you would with any pale area of skin.

Choosing a flashy puppy

Photos are the best guide because every pattern is unique. Review the sex, line and notes on each listing and reach out if you want a certain marking, such as a full white chest.

Apply for a flashy puppy

Select flashy on the application. If you cannot decide between this and a mostly white coat, read about white Boxer puppies too.

Quick answers

Is flashy a different breed of Boxer?

No. Flashy only describes the white markings on a regular Boxer.

Will the white markings grow?

Markings are set at birth and stay in the same places, though they can look different as the coat fills in.
